Holywood Music Festival AGM took place on 12th March in Royal Belfast Golf Club. The committee was sad to bid farewell to outgoing chairman, Peter Yarr, after many years of invaluable contribution to the Festival and delighted to welcome new chairman John Young. A past headmaster of Sullivan Upper School in Holywood, John takes over the chairmanship at a critical time for Holywood Music Festival.
This is the 10th year of the Festival since its re-launch in 2003. At the AGM Gordon Dunne MLA congratulated the committee on its success in sustaining the Festival through difficult times and wished it well for 2013.
Holywood Music Festival attracts entries from all over Northern Ireland and is open to everyone. Last year the Festival welcomed 1000 participants and Holywood benefitted from over 3000 people visiting the town in November.
The Festival will run 15th- 23rd November 2013.
